Cutting with Chinese Jian (straightsword)

I have noticed there are several japanese sword cutting videos on this webpage.. Well, I'm a swordsmith apprentice under a quite famous Chinese swordsmith, and I enjoy cutting stuff up as much as anyone. I am an amateur however.. :) Anyway, there's alot of hype going around saying that the Japanese katana is super-sharp, and the best sword in the world and bs like that. The japananese got their Katana model from the Chinese during the Tang Dynasty, and learned to forge swords from the chinese. However, I'd like to remove some of the bad reputation modern Chinese wushu has given the Chinese sword, and get the true Chinese sword out of the shadows. The sword in the video is a double edged jian, Qing Dynasty reproduction in 3-layer lamination with 4000 layers of folded steel. It is razor sharp, and has a price-tag of around 1000USD. This is a real sword, and not one of those flappy wushu-toys used for dancing around. Enjoy... Best regards, Kenneth AH Zheng Wu Knife & Sword Company. www.zheng-wu.com

Review: Makai Kado - Zero the Silver Fanged Knight

RRR Post: ridersrangersandrambles.com Blog Post: wp.me --- Our next Makai Kado is Ginga Kishi Zero: Zero the Silver Fanged Knight, otherwise known as Rei Suzumura. Like Garo, Zero is a roughly seven inches tall, or 180 mm. Also like Garo, he is a slightly remolded and repainted version of the Equp & Prop Zero. Included are two die-cast Ginroken, two plastic Madou Fire covered Ginroken (both of which can hook together to make the GingaGinroken), sword holding hands, and splayed open hands. Articulation is roughly the same as Garo, with nearly the same hinderances in movement. The collar hurts the neck, the abs don't allow much movement, and the thigh armor restricts the hip movement significantly. The shoulder pads allow more movement than Garo, but unfortunately they pop out relatively easily which can become irritating after a while. However, unlike Garo, the elbow joints work pretty flawlessly. Unfortunately, where only my Garo's ab joint was lose, Zero is plagued with lose shoulders, and worse of all, wrists. The hands have a ball attached, and plug into the socket at the wrist. Garo had a large portion of his gauntlet that helped hold the hand tightly in place. Zero lacks this. My sword holding hands are both too lose to hold the weight of the swords (both versions...). The shoulder and elbow joints don't fair much better, and drop if the weight isn't distributed perfectly. I'm not sure how many of these toys are plagued by problems like this, but if you do pick him ...

Things you do in a toystore.

Unusual things happen to people when you're in a place you already outgrown and just come back if you'll have kids in the future. So yeah, these are my sisters. Abby told me that they're re-enacting Pirates of the Carribean with a pinch of "Mulawin", a filipino sci-fi movie-- the one that she called 'kilawin' instead. You'll know when you're making a scene when people start to join in and see what aisle you're in. Crazy adventures of Abby and Joyce. If you can, share us clips of you in a toystore. You'll never know what you'll do.:-) ... additional info, they didn't even buy those swords.
