Review: Makai Kado - Zero the Silver Fanged Knight

RRR Post: ridersrangersandrambles.com Blog Post: wp.me --- Our next Makai Kado is Ginga Kishi Zero: Zero the Silver Fanged Knight, otherwise known as Rei Suzumura. Like Garo, Zero is a roughly seven inches tall, or 180 mm. Also like Garo, he is a slightly remolded and repainted version of the Equp & Prop Zero. Included are two die-cast Ginroken, two plastic Madou Fire covered Ginroken (both of which can hook together to make the GingaGinroken), sword holding hands, and splayed open hands. Articulation is roughly the same as Garo, with nearly the same hinderances in movement. The collar hurts the neck, the abs don't allow much movement, and the thigh armor restricts the hip movement significantly. The shoulder pads allow more movement than Garo, but unfortunately they pop out relatively easily which can become irritating after a while. However, unlike Garo, the elbow joints work pretty flawlessly. Unfortunately, where only my Garo's ab joint was lose, Zero is plagued with lose shoulders, and worse of all, wrists. The hands have a ball attached, and plug into the socket at the wrist. Garo had a large portion of his gauntlet that helped hold the hand tightly in place. Zero lacks this. My sword holding hands are both too lose to hold the weight of the swords (both versions...). The shoulder and elbow joints don't fair much better, and drop if the weight isn't distributed perfectly. I'm not sure how many of these toys are plagued by problems like this, but if you do pick him ...
